Like Mike is about a teenage orphan named Calvin Cambridge who dreams about getting adopted. He has two best friends named Murph and Reg Stevens. They are taken by Stan Bittleman, the greedy orphanage director (played by Crispin Glover) to sell chocolates after each of a fictional Los Angeles Knights NBA franchise's home games.
